SET decided · SOURCE verified in the campaign summary · YOURS GM invention · OPEN undecided · NOTE caution
SET Each player picks one of three. The first option is the primary fit.
NOTE These menus stay here until the Daggerheart Remap is done; then they become the character
creation options on the table pages. Process: players pitch a concept, the GM matches it to the
closest class and subclass, renames most abilities, and hand-builds only the one or two pieces
that need it.
Lunar Netrunner (the space player)
- Wizard, School of War: an offensive hacker who fries people. Codex becomes a program library, spells become quickhacks, and Splendor becomes nanite repair or system restores.
- Warlock: the patron is the Voodoo Boys.
SETThe Hope & Fear Warlock, not the Void playtest version. - Druid: Beastform as digital shapeshifting: crawler forms to slip ICE, hunter-killer forms to fight other netrunners. (Suggest Warden of the Elements if the fixer also picks Druid.)
Hook: possible past connection to Orbital Air or one of its orbital facilities.
Ex-Trauma Team (the heavy hitter)
"Can patch you up, but more likely to put you down."
- Seraph, Divine Wielder: combat medic with a big gun. Prayer Dice become a stim or med-kit pool.
- Guardian, Stalwart: the bodyguard who soaks hits for the client.
- Guardian, Vengeance: punishes anyone who hurts the team.
No-Chrome Fixer (the body that rejects cyberware)
Their abilities come from connections, chems, and willpower, never implants, so they feel distinct rather than lesser.
- Bard, Troubadour: silver-tongued fixer. Rally die is them calling in a favor mid-scene. Codex becomes contacts and favors owed.
- Rogue, Syndicate: a contact in every district. The network is their augmentation.
- Druid, Warden of Renewal: biohacker. Beastform becomes chemically altered states (fast, monstrous, numb to pain), with a comedown cost.
Condition: OPEN the nature of their cyberware rejection is TBD — a known medical issue, or
rarer and more personal?
BD Gunslinger (braindances, chrome, guns)
The braindance connoisseur, but not the one who made the recording.
- Rogue, Nightwalker: stylish gunfighter. Shadow abilities become optical camo and reflex boosters.
- Ranger, Wayfinder: braindance detective or bounty hunter.
- Warrior, Call of the Slayer: heavily chromed solo who relives their best fights on BD.
Hooks:
- First to spot the splice (Session 1 spotlight).
- May recognize the editor's signature style.
- May have introduced the traitor to braindances, lending them a rig and teaching them the scene. The gut-punch: realizing whose eyes the frame BD was seen through.
The Traitor
The dead former crew member. Secretly paid to record the job, then killed after handing it over. Possible motives: debt, a sick family member, a ripperdoc bill, or a ticket off-world.
OPEN Created by the players in Session 0, or a GM-introduced NPC?
The fifth player
OPEN Concept unknown.
